Bernd holds a PhD in Agricultural and Resource Economics and a M.sc. in Agronomy, both from the University of Hohenheim. He is an acknowledged business developer with over 20 years of experience in promoting sustainability in business practices, financial markets, and international public policy. Bernd was Global Co-Head of Credit Suisse’s Environmental Business Group, where he led the strategy implementation for clean tech and natural resources. Bernd also guided through the evaluation, structuring and due diligence of an agricultural fund. He played the key role in securing the mandate for the Masdar Clean Tech Fund with Abu Dhabi and Siemens. Today, Bernd is Managing Director of WaKa's partner company for land-based investments. Bernd is developing and implementing WaKa's business strategy. He is located in Switzerland.
