Reinhold completed three academic degrees at the University of Göttingen, Germany. An M.Sc. each in temperate and tropical forestry, and a doctoral degree (Dr. forest.). From Göttingen he moved on to work with the German Agency for Technical Cooperation (GTZ) in Asia. He contributed significantly to the development of forest management planning in the rainforest of Borneo. In 1995 he moved to the Institute for World Forestry in Hamburg, where he coordinated many forestry projects in tropical Asia, Africa, and Latin America. His expertise encompasses all aspects of forest management. He has ample experience in forest certification of natural and plantation forests (FM / CoC) and contributed considerably to five FSC certificates in the tropics as well as to the timber procurement policy of the German Government. His profound knowledge and experience, his personality and team spirit were rewarded with several board member positions in the forest industry. Since 1999 he is working in the forest investment business and was advisor and board member in several funds in Asia and South America. In 2007 he moved his work focus to Switzerland and heads the main office of WaKa - Forest Investment Services AG in Bad Zurzach, Switzerland. In 2015, he was appointed by the Regional Commission of Freiburg as a publicly sworn expert for forest valuation and forest investment appraisals.
